"GOODBYE FOR A MEAN TIME"

This year 2016, is coming to end. End for being a freshmen and climb up to being a 2nd year college student (Sophomore) still at Cebu Technological University - Main Campus. It doesn't mean end as in end of the school year, but an ending for being a 1st year student. Another year to be missed off, all the memories that I have, and all the learning and challenges that I have encountered. Let's just focus on our future because our future awaits on us made by our own hard work.

Chinese New Year's Day is the first day of the Chinese Lunar calendar. But the date is different year on the Gregorian (internationally-used) calendar, between January 21st and February 20th. In 2016 it's Monday February 8th.

Officially only the first three days of Chinese New Year (February 8-10, 2016) are statutory holiday. Chinese New Year's Eve and three more days are always added to give seven consecutive days of holiday. These four extra days are taken from weekends: the two weekend days closest to the statutory holiday are included, while the Saturday before (February 6, 2016) and the Sunday after (February 14, 2016) are worked. It is celebrated to a year of hard work, have a good rest, and relax with family and to wish for a lucky and prosperous coming year.

"COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY"

Our course Bachelor of Science in Mechatronics is under the department of College of Technology. This department has more than students than in the deparment of Education, Arts and Sciences and Engineering, because in this department has many courses that have been approved to take up by the students.

A Eucharistic Congress is an international gathering of people aimed at promoting an awareness of the central place of the Eucharist in the life and mission of the Catholic Church. The Roman Ritual De Sacra Communione et de Cultu Mysterii Eucharistici extra Missam defines the Congress as “a pause for commitment and prayer to which a particular Church invites the universal Church”. During this time “the celebration of the Eucharist becomes the center and vortex of all forms of piety, of theological and pastoral reflections, of social commitment”. The choice of the Philippines as the next venue for the congress was announced by Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI during a video message at the conclusion of the previous Eucharistic congress held in Dublin in June 2012. For us Filipino's, we are very thankful for having them here and for picking this country (Philippines) to held the 51st International Eucharistic Congress.

The significance of Sinulog festival is one of the grandest and most colorful festivals in the philippines. In honoring of the miraculous image of the Sto. NiƱo, the citizens should offer a sinulog dance ritual.
Exactly, on the day 17th of January, all Cebuanos shall be one in the flaming nurture of love, in the divine flame of brotherhood, in respecting one another and in the surging passion of unity.
Holding the miraculous of thing celebrated, danced and respected, this day is the lilt of songs and the glitter of costumes, is the Sinulog dance parade.
"CEBU TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY-MAIN CAMPUS"

The Cebu Trade School, now the Cebu Technological University, began in 1911 as a Manual Arts department of the Cebu Normal School and later of the Cebu Provincial High School. In 1911 it become a separate entity offering intermediate trade curriculum in wood working. This school is well known as one of the very largest school here in Cebu, it gives us good trainings and gives us more knowledge to gain for our near future and gives us a good job. Your future is on your hands and always there with you.
"Keep Calm I'm A Mechatronic Engineer"

Mechatronics is a blend of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer control and information technology. Mechatronics is a design process to create more functional and adaptable products. The word was first coined in Japan in the 1960s to refer to the synergistic blend of mechanics and electronics. But over the years mechatronics has come to mean a methodology for designing products that exhibit fast, precise performance. These characteristics can be achieved by considering not only the mechanical design, but also the use of servo controls, sensors, and electronics.
Mechatronics was first used in terms of the computer control of electric motors by an engineer at Japan’s Yaskawa Electric Co. Many engineers contend that mechatronics grew out of robotics. Early robotic arms, then unable to coordinate their movements without sensory feedback, benefited greatly from advances in kinematics, dynamics, controls, sensor technology, and high-level programming. During the 1970s, mechatronics was concerned with servo technology used in products such as automatic door openers, vending machines, and autofocus cameras. In the 1980s, as information technology was introduced, engineers began to embed microprocessors in mechanical systems to improve their performance. The 1990s saw the full arrival of the mechatronic age because of the increased use of computational intelligence in mechatronic products and systems.
Now, at this moment this course is now being offer to Cebu Technological University-Main Campus.
